In this Food for Life: Power Foods for the Brain class, you will learn strategies for maintaining memory and improving brain function including how to prepare brain health-promoting meals.

Vegan Holiday Makers Market
A collaborative Holiday market of local, small business vegan bakers, creators, artisans, and craftsmen offering vegan food and drink, gifts and goods. The event will feature items ranging from cheese-stuffed pretzels and sweets, to jewelry and beauty products, to art. Free entry.
The Legacy Building, 4024 East 46th Street., 4pm-7pm
The Market will also feature a raffle to win an assortment of local, small-business produced prizes, proceeds to benefit the Animal Rights Coalition. Additionally, the market will host a vegan food drive to benefit Flourish Market, Minnesota’s only plant-based food shelf. Donations must be non-perishable, unexpired, in original packaging, and (of course) vegan!

How Foods Fight Cancer
This class helps participants to make the critical connection between diet and the risk of developing various forms of cancer.
With a focus on low-fat plant-based nutrition, participants develop an understanding of specific foods and nutrients that either promote or discourage cancer development. The class features an interactive, hands-on cooking session of delicious, health-promoting dishes, along with handouts of easy and affordable recipes participants can prepare at home.
Cancer survivors, their family and friends, as well as anyone looking to prevent cancer are welcome. This class is not meant for individuals currently undergoing cancer treatment.


Let's Beat Breast Cancer Rally
Join local experts, community advocates, and breast cancer survivors for a special gathering in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Featuring a unique blend of percussionists from local bands to “Beat the Drum” for breast cancer prevention, all are invited to enjoy the music and raise your voice to support this lifesaving message!

Twin Cities Veg Fest
Twin Cities Veg Fest is the biggest vegan festival of its kind in the Midwest.
Afar magazine featured us as one of the seven best festivals in the world.
The festival is ADA accessible and strives to be a zero-waste event.
We expect to welcome over 5,000 attendees and look forward to seeing you there!

Chicks Only Mushroom Event
Bring your mom, grandma, daughter, sisters, aunties, nieces, girlfriends, or just yourself to this “Chicks Only” day! Even though no guys are allowed, we will be searching for “fun-gis.” We might even find an Old Man of the Woods.
Besides learning about mushrooms, we will have tons of fun and meet new friends. We will also discuss tree identification, plants, and berries we come across while we are in the woods. A delicious picnic lunch with wild mushrooms will prepared by the fabulous Borealle. Lunch will not only be delicious, but it will also be 100% fresh, healthy, and vegan.

A Vegan Evening at Owamni (all vegan, all Owamni)
Join Compassionate Action for Animals for an all vegan, four course meal at Owamni, winner of the 2022 James Beard Award for “Best New Restaurant in the United States.” The event will take place from 6 to 8pm on Saturday June 22. The beautiful event hall looks out to the Mississippi River, at 425 West River Parkway, Minneapolis, MN 55401.
There is space for 44 people to attend this intimate evening. Tickets are $175 each.
